BUSYMAN BICYCLES creator Mick Peel is a true artisan with bikes who started the Busyman project one day when wanting to fix up a bike to ride to work. He bought the bike on eBay and decided to turn it into a cool bike. It quickly became a creative outlet for Mick who also used to spend his time being involved in and establishing fashion labels. Mick said in a recent interview that “A lot of his work is to do with the craft, the materials and the techniques and the shape of the saddle (…) Sometimes things go wrong, but that can be the start of something good.”

Is your bike not feeling the love? Well why not head to THE BIKE SHED, a volunteer on-site group at CERES in Melbourne. Their aim is to promote cycling in the local community by teaching people how to fix their own bikes. BikeShed members can use tools on-site and get free training from the volunteer mechanics. If you do not have a bicycle, they will happily help you to fix one of their recycled bicycles. They also have a range of recycled parts available to members at very low prices.
